Ms. Wing has worked independently and professionally as a designer, illustrator and animator in NY since receiving her B.S. (and that's no joke!) in Communications from NYU in 1999, where she also had the opportunity to study animation at Tisch. She went on to serve in various capacities in film, broadcast and graphic design in NY, where she discovered the adsurdities of the typical office environment, as well as the fact that animators are basically straight white guys that don't get out enough. She began working independently as a consultant in 2001. She attended her first Burning Man in August 2001. In March of 2003, disheartened by the economic and spiritual castration of her city at the hands of terrorists, and generally disgusted with the state of American politics, she relocated to Europe to more seriously pursue painting and general debauchery. In Spring 2004, in order to reconcile her partiality to the Dutch and European lifestyles with her preference for the ambitious energy and pace of NY, she began dividing her time between New York and Amsterdam, actualizing projects in each. She joined BML as Art Director in September 2004. |
